Each week, a group of Old Widowed Ladies, known as the OWLS, gathers for dinner, finding friendship, laughter, and a way forward through their shared grief.
—
After her husband of 64 years passed away, my grandmother suddenly found herself alone for the first time. A simple dinner invitation from a neighbor who was also widowed sparked the beginning of a group they call The Owls, Old Widowed Ladies. Together they share meals, laughter, and conversations about living after loss. This short documentary is an intimate portrait of grief, resilience, and the power of friendship to carry us forward.
