Director’s bio:

MARGARET LEONE (Director) has studied with award winning coaches, instructors and professors in the areas of acting, musical theatre, voice, cabaret, business for actors and directing and has attended Fisk University in Nashville, TN as a Drama Major. Margaret Directing credits with The Theater Company include Dreamgirls ,Ragtime: In Concert and Godspell in residence at DeBaun Center for Performing Arts. As Assistant Artistic Director of The Theater Company, she produced Psycho Beach Party and Glory Days,and conducted Cabaret Workshops, throughout the season. Other Directing credits include “Jesus is All the God We Need” , a Lenis Guess Production, presented at the Arthur Seelen Theater, NYC, “ Leader of the Pack” for the Women’s Theater Company in New Jersey. As Resident Director of African Globe Theatre in Newark, NJ, Margaret conceived and directed the student production of Hip Hop: The Lost Generation,she also directed the Theatre Cafe Season – a series of urban plays and gospel musicals and Langston Hughes’ Black Nativity produced by African Globe and St. Johns A.M.E. Church,presented at The Crossroads Theatre in New Brunswick,NJ.Amongst her theatre credits Margaret has toured Europe performing in the musical Hair directed by the show’s creator James Rado. She has performed leading roles in the Los Angeles premiere of Job and the Snake, Purim Day, which opened at the Lambs Theatre in NYC,Hallelujah Chorus and Midnight Train to Georgia presented at the Crossroads Theatre in New Brunswick, NJ, also in A… My Name is Alice presented at the Women’s
Theater Company in New Jersey., Miz. Johnson in “It’s Gonna Work Out Fine”:The Music of Rose Marie McCoy, Finalist at the Strawberry One Act Festival.
