The Hidden Court is a documentary about a group of men who found a sense of community and camaraderie by playing ‘prohibition basketball’ on a hidden court. The film follows the men as they bond over their passionate love of the game, providing a much-needed escape from the isolation of the pandemic. Through their stories, the film explores the power of friendship, the resilience of the human spirit, and the poetic beauty of the game of basketball.

Walter Schlomann is an award-winning filmmaker and the founder of Heritage Media Group; producing video biographies about the extraordinary lives of ordinary people.
Among Walter’s many credits, is – ‘Ezra: May His Memory Be For A Blessing’ a film exploring the issues of teen suicide and mental health. The film is playing at festivals and has received numerous awards, including best film at the Mental Health and Suicide Awareness film festival in Denver.
He has filmed extensively in South America and Australia. He has collaborated with rock stars like Michael Stipe (R.E.M. ), Rob Zombie, and Cyndi Lauper on long-form projects and music videos. From his first experience on an independent film shot in New York graffiti-strewn dark alleys circa 1983, Walter has been passionate about communicating stories through film and video.
