The Blood Orange is a musical film about mental health. It is the story of Sweetie, a single mother of two, which is told through the eyes of her therapist Dr. Claire. Sweetie carries the weight of her childhood, divorce and aging self as she struggles with anxiety, depression and addiction.

Anthony Figliano began studying music at the age of eight. In his teenage years, he was involved in school musicals and choir. He studied opera and classical piano, and after graduating college, he taught music and performed an opera in Italy, New York, and New Jersey.
