Director’s bio:

I did not graduate from college or go to film school, yet deeply passionate about film and television, I moved to NYC to learn how movies were made. I landed an internship at Spring Creek Productions and a job as a cashier. Within three years I worked my way into Martin Scorsese’s office as an apprentice to Thelma Schoonmaker. There I had the chance to work with exceptional filmmakers and 35mm. I became a union member and worked for other great editors such as Gerri Peroni, John Wright and Steven Rosenblum. Most recently my screenplay Heartland Hoops was a semi-finalist in the Page International/Family Division Screenplay Competition and a finalist/shortlisted in the ScreenCraft Family Screenplay Competition. Other accomplishments include founding The Writers Lab with New York Women in Film & Television, sponsored by Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman and Oprah Winfrey to support female screenwriters over 40 encouraging the proliferation of the female voice on our planet. Collaborating with a writer from The Writers Lab, Rite of Spring is my first fully realized fictional short film as a director.
