Director’s bio:

During his 35-year career in television and film, Carlo Gennarelli has earned 14 Emmy Awards and 2 International Monitor Awards as both editor and producer. He has been involved with a variety of TV programs for every major American television network and cable outlet. Contributions to milestone programming such as “ABC News Nightline.” “Inside the Actor’s Studio,” and 9 Olympic Broadcasts from 1984 to 2006, highlight his achievements.

While continuing to contribute to the TV industry, as well as producing his own independent films, Carlo Gennarelli is also an Associate Professor at Hofstra University in New York, teaching classes in television production and studies.

In 2012 he directed, produced, and edited the international award-winning documentary, “Ordinary Joe.” He has also edited and produced many television documentaries for A&E, Bravo, CBS, Discovery, ESPN, and NBC. Drawing on his passion for classic rock music, Gennarelli directed, produced, edited, and co-wrote a 2-hour special for Discovery Network entitled “Temples of Rock,” revisiting the seminal theaters, studios, and clubs in rock and roll history. For it, he conducted exclusive interviews with dozens of rock icons such as Graham Nash, Johnny Ramone, Smokey Robinson, and Ringo Starr.
