Annie Fleisch is a filmmaker who specializes in narrative work that often highlights women’s voices. Her independent film Home Coming (14 mins) won the Best Film and Best Writing award in the Emerging Filmmaker category at the 2024 Count Basie Center Breakthrough Filmmaker Festival. Home Coming was also awarded the 2023 James Richard Janowsky Award from the School of Visual Arts Alumni Society. In 2024, Annie pitched and created a short film for Red Bull and Wings for Life that featured a WFL ambassador and highlighted the WFL World Run.
Annie is a member of Women in Media and prioritizes inclusive and nurturing environments both in front and behind the camera. She grew up in Monmouth County, New Jersey, and received a BFA in Film Production with a concentration in directing at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
