Christine Jansen is an accomplished filmmaker, and the owner of Beautiful Darkness Productions. With over 20 years of experience in video production and marketing, Jansen brings a wealth of skills and knowledge to her work in the film industry. Most recently, in 2023, she produced, directed, and edited four short horror films. The two that have been released, “Raw Data” and “Instinct,” have won multiple awards.
“Bad Clown” intricately weaves a tale of fear and retribution, paralleling the unsettling transformation of an innocuous clown doll with the disquieting uncertainties that arise from moving and new beginnings. The narrative delves deep into the psychological realms, revealing how a teenager’s dread of clowns intertwines with the haunting consequences of change. As the director, my aspiration is to illuminate the uncanny and unsettling facets of the supernatural, harmonizing it with the universally relatable anxieties that clowns evoke. Through meticulous cinematography and a tension-fueled storyline, “Bad Clown” guides viewers on a journey to confront not only their own fears, but also the intricate connections between individual turmoil and the macabre. Ultimately, both mother and daughter must transcend their personal struggles, uniting to offer each other solace amidst the eerie forces that test their bonds.
