Director Statement

John David relates to mermaids as characters caught between worlds. A Texas Mermaid Movie is born of the desire to explore in between spaces and transitional moments in life, as well as to celebrate those who steward the majestic waters of Texas.

NOTE: to – cut one’s teeth on: to do at the beginning of one’s education, career, etc., or in one’s youth: ex: The hunter boasted of having cut his teeth on tigers.
