Director Statement

Revisiting timeless fairy tales allows us to confront their enduring warnings, shedding light on the dangers that pervade our lives. In my animated film, “A Bride’s Diary,” I draw inspiration from a cautionary tale reminiscent of “Bluebeard” to explore profound themes of manipulation, betrayal, and the insidious nature of domestic violence, while ultimately showcasing the triumph of a courageous soul who dares to break free.

Within the shadows of our narrative, predators silently roam, reminding us to remain vigilant in our choices of love. Through this animation, I bring these pressing issues to the forefront of our collective consciousness. By crafting this story, I invite audiences to contemplate the darker facets of human nature and the grave consequences that befall us when we overlook the subtle signs.
