In the eyes of his soldiers and other peers in the army, Elyasif is a charismatic clown. But during his service, Elyasif witnessed a suicide that traumatized him, and he is now seeking psychological support. Elyasif plans to come clean to his ex-army buddies at their annual barbecue.

Director’s bio:
Elyasif Barad was raised in Jerusalem. After 3 years of mandatory service in the IDF, where he was a commander, he moved to the United States for a time and worked in a production company on music videos and films. After moving back to Israel he studied 4 years full time at the Maaleh Film School. His second year film “Arm Wrestle” was screened at the Los Angeles children’s film festival. Elyasif graduated October 2023. “Not With Us” is his graduating documentary.
