When I was a child, I was fascinated by the concept of Halloween. The idea of being able to dress as whatever creature I wanted, human or monster, made me giddy. Since I used to be very scared of the dark and monsters lurking in the closet, I gravitated toward the idea of becoming the monster that scared me and taking control of my fear. That experience would serve as inspiration for my film Little Monster.
Little Monster is a story of two very different people, a girl, and a monster, and how they form a friendship on Halloween. Their bond unites them in stopping a bully, with the goal of stealing candy from others.
