A group of Orthodox Jewish women arrive at the “Kosher Beach” in Tel Aviv from their closed off community: it is here that they can be free, and have their moment in the sun. When the beach is facing a shut down, the heroines are afraid to lose their island of freedom.

Karin Kainer is an award-winning documentary film director and photographer.
