Director’s bio:

Carl D’Arpa’s debut student film Today, Tomorrow, Right Now. was an official selection at four festivals, as well as nominated for Best Animated Short, Best Editing, and Best Picture at one. Currently, his junior year film Toss is beginning a festival run where it has received a “Best Writing” award. As an animation filmmaker specializing in storyboarding, Carl strives to tell stories with a lot of heart from a unique and sometimes surreal perspective. Born and raised in the DMV area, Carl traveled to the snowy land of upstate New York, to study at: Rochester Institute of Technology’s School of Film and Animation. Set to graduate in May 2021, Carl hopes to venture into television or feature animation, in order to continue creating worlds with frogs at war, and talking cacti.
