Bobby Starr, ex-boyband pop star is booked to headline the grand opening of the first
Kosher Casino in the Catskills. The hotel owner’s daughter, Rebekkah has a secret
crush on Bobby. As her last act of rebellion before her arranged marriage, she hires him to perform live at the hotel. “Goyband” is a romantic comedy that fuses music and pop culture with a satirical (albeit gentle) look into the often demanding rituals of Orthodox Judaism. The ultra-orthodox American-Jewish world is alive and kicking. But how does it cope with modern times?
